Joanne Higgins (she/her/hers) is a Registered Social Worker with over 10 years of experience in the field of Addiction and Mental Health. She has worked in hospital, outpatient and group home settings. She has extensive experience with developmental disabilities, inner city populations and psychosis. She believes that people already have the innate capacity to heal and draws on a variety of perspectives and therapeutic approaches to partner with her clients on their healing journey.
She offers services for individuals coping with issues such as:

Joanne specializes in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and has recently been certified as a Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapist (KAP). She draws on a variety of therapeutic perspectives to inform her work including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Joanne utilizes an anti-oppressive framework with a strong emphasis on harm reduction. She also continues to learn and consult with other professionals with a view to provide neurodiversity affirmative care for her autistic clients.
